Local author David Healey shares stories from the Revolutionary War era that he “rediscovered” while researching his forthcoming novel “The Guns of Liberty” that begins with the landing of 15,000 British and Hessian troops just miles from this library branch, setting in motion the fight at Cooch’s Bridge, the Battle of the Brandywine, Valley Forge, and the occupation of Philadelphia.
